Disney's Art of Animation Resort
Disney's Art of Animation Resort opened in May of 2012 and is the newest addition to the Disney Resort family. It has 864 rooms and 1,120 family suites. Three heated pools, an interactive water feature, an arcade located in the main lobby and a highly themed playground for the little ones. Each Art of Animation Resort building have character themed rooms ( Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, Cars, and The Lion King).

- Fun themed rooms
- One of two value resorts that offer family suites
- Doesn't share theme park buses with any other resorts.
- Bigger/better food court than other value resorts
- Buildings are spread out with some being very far from the main lobby/food court
- Most expensive of the value resorts
- Themed rooms may be too themed/bold for older childern and couples visiting
Location: Disney's Hollywood Studio
Tip:
Preferred rooms aren't an option at this resort but in order to be closer to the main building request a room or suite in buildings 1,3,4,5,6, or 10.
Disney's Pop Century Resort
Disney's Pop Century Resort opened in December of 2003. It has 2,880 rooms which makes it the biggest value resort. It features five themed buildings which celebrate the biggest hits of the 20th century( the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's.) Three uniquiely shaped, heated swimming pools, childern's pool, an arcade, and a playground.
Pros:
- Fun themed
- Doesn't share a theme park bus with any of resort
- Great food court with many options
- Spread out buildings
- Can be noisy at times
Location: Closet to Disney's Hollywood Studio
Tip:
Pay for a Preferred room to be closer to the main building otherwise it can be quit a walk. If you don’t want to pay for the upgrade, request 70s Building B or the 80s Building B.
Disney's All Star Movies Resort
Disney's All Star Movies Resort opened in January of 1999. It has 1,920 rooms all of which include themes from some very familiar Disney movies (Mighty Ducks, 101 Dalmations, Toy Story, Fantasia, and Love Bug) Two heated swimming pools, children's pool, and an arcade.
Disney's All Star Sports Resort
Disney's All Star Sports Resort opened in April of 1994. It also has 1,920 rooms that all of course have sport themes ( Touchdown, Home Run, Center Court, Surf's Up, and Hoops.) Two heated swimming pools, a children's pool, and an arcade.
Disney's All Star Music Resort:
Disney's All Star Music Resort opened in November of 1994. It has 1,920 rooms all themed with different genre of music (Rock, Jazz, Calypso, Broadway, and Country.) Two heated swimming pools, a children's pool, and an arcade.
Pros:
- Unique themed rooms
- Children's pool
- All Star Music offers family suites
Cons:
- Spread out buildings
- All Star resorts share buses to the theme parks which can make wait times very long
- Food courts are just average
Location: Closest to Disney's Animal Kingdom
Tip:
The small upcharge for a Preferred room will save a lot of walking and keep you close to the main building.
